To be from Battir, it is more than common sense to love and be great at making eggplant products as the same village is known to be home to the best eggplants in the West Bank. Women in Battir have inherited the skills for making the best eggplant products and dishes from their mothers and grandmothers and Suheir Abu Neimeh is no exception. She specializes in the production of stuffed eggplants and eggplant pickles with vegetables. Suheir has been producing eggplant products and selling them for a long time and has great experience in the production of this sort of food product. The home stay project greatly benefited her in creating a new market and she started her own homestay business and has successfully combined the two together selling her eggplant products to her visitors and guests. As part of the homestay project, Suheir also received multiple trainings in the production and the marketing of food products arming her with concrete knowledge and skills to be able to expand her work and grow in order to provide a better future for her family.
